Wildmoor Heath Preparations to Reopen for Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 Children

Wildmoor Heath School has been open to a few priority pupils since 23 March 2020. We are pleased that from Monday, 1st June 2020, the school will be open to far more pupils, namely Critical Workers' children.

All our staff will support the teaching and learning of six groups of 15 pupils (maximum), all in dedicated groupings, separated classrooms with designated areas of the field for outdoor activities.   We will be operating strict staggered drop off and pick up times.

Our intention is to expand our numbers further to include other Critical Workers' children (subject to governmental guidance) plus Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 pupils on Monday, 8th June 2020.

The governmental guidance makes it clear that parents and carers can choose whether or not to return their children to school and we fully support this and the choice parents make concerning their child's education. Wildmoor Heath will continue to provide home learning on the Edmodo platform.

The Department for Education (DfE) has published guidance for parents at: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/closure-of-educational-settings-information-for-parents-and-carers/reopening-schools-and-other-educational-settings-from-1-june .
