Wildmoor Heath Primary School

Curriculum Enrichment

In addition to following the National Curriculum, at Wildmoor Heath, we have many extra opportunities to excite, interest and enthuse the children through our Curriculum Enrichment Programme of Community, Communication, Environment, Wellbeing and Opportunities.

ENVIRONMENT:

For World Environment Day, Mrs Guy held a competition, inviting children and staff to send in their best nature photographs. See the video below for all the entries and the winners.

World Environment Day Assembly - Nature Photograph Competition

On 22nd October, Clare Balding opened our new Forest School area, Wildwood.

WELLBEING:

Click here to see the Wellbeing Page.

COMMUNITY:

The Wildmoor Heath choir was asked to perform at the Morgan Rec as part of the D-Day commemoration events in Crowthorne. The choir will be singing at the Crowthorne High Street Christmas event and at local care homes.

COMMUNICATION:

Year 6 children have been working hard on writing persuasive letters to specific celebrities to invite them to open our newly refurbished Forest Schools area. Key Stage 2 children will be learning French, using phonics sounds.

OPPORTUNITIES:

Year 6 created World War 2 inspired artwork, which was displayed on a large screen at the Morgan Rec as part of the D-Day commemoration events. There have been a number of sporting events and sporting coaches visiting Wildmoor. Children are currently preparing for their Christmas performances!
