Wildmoor Heath marks 100 years since Armistice
The students and staff at Wildmoor Heath School all laid down tools to hold an assembly of Remembrance. This annual act of remembrance, which was lead by Rev. Martin Ceaser and Mrs Semper, was especially poignant this year as it marked 100 years since the end of the Great War in 1918.
The whole school stopped still in silence at 11am and we were so proud of every child who held respect by remaining quiet to remember those soldiers who fought for our country.
Those who are members of guiding and scouting groups were invited to wear their respective uniforms as a mark of respect for this day.
After this, Years 5 and 6 held another short ceremony to put up the school wreath at the front of the school.
Wildmoor Heath will remember them.
